It's About Leaving Your Mark

A few weeks ago, Jared had a collision with the outfield fence at Lobo Field that landed him at the ER to get stitches. The assistant coach thought it would be funny to make a "Jared" out of athletic tape on the outfield fence. It will be there until rain washes off the tape. (Please note that even when "Tape Jared" is gone, the dents Jared made will still remain!)The coaches sent Jamey a picture with the caption - "Jared left his mark on Lobo Field."

Eeyore Alfred Augustus

Abby got a new (to her) car! It is a Mitsubishi Endeavor. It is quite a bit earlier than we had planned to buy her a car, but Jamey came across a deal that was too good to pass up. Abby is very excited!! She has named her car Eeyore Alfred Augustus - Eeyore for short.

First Drive Thru

Abby drove through her first drive thru last week. The worker was not interested in being in my historical preservation of the occasion.

Viewettes!

Abby had drill team tryouts yesterday after a long week of learning the routine and practicing. Out of 75 girls who tried out, 22 made it! We are all very excited that she is officially an LHS Viewette.

Shop Til You Drop

Abby and I went with our friends Audrey and Kathleen to Frisco for a quick shopping trip over spring break. We got in a lot of shopping in a pretty short amount of time. We also managed to fit in a visit to Medieval Times. The knight we cheered for was the red and yellow knight, and Abby and Audrey both ended up getting flowers from him.

Possibly a Comet?

We visited the University of Texas at Dallas over spring break at the invitation of the baseball coach. We enjoyed the visit! We toured and were impressed with the campus. We then watched 10 innings of baseball (one full game and the first three innings of a second). The coach said Jared has a spot on the roster if he chooses to accept it. He really wants to play at a community college, but it is nice to know the offer is out there if he wants it.

Gatsby Girls

Abby and her friends recently went to a Gatsby party. I think they make pretty cute flappers.
