A First and A Last

Jamey and I went to the last pep rally at Longview High School for this football season. Abby's drill team prep group performed for the first time. They did a hand routine in the stands.
Because it was their last pep rally, the seniors all went down on the floor at the end. If you look closely in the middle of the crowd, you can see Jared and his friend Cole on top of the pile.

One More Try...

A Different Kind of Fundraiser - with videos

Jared and six of his friends played in a mud volleyball tournament today! The event was a fundraiser for a local group called Ambucs Too. It was not your average fundraiser!

The First Year and the Last Year

Last Monday, Abby started her first year at Longview High School and Jared started his last year! A Freshman and a Senior! I couldn't get my traditional picture of them together outside because Jared has a dual credit English class that starts at 7:00AM. Abby had just gotten up when he was getting ready to leave, and it was still too dark outside.

23 Years of Wedded Bliss

On the 18th of August, Jamey and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary. I thought you all might enjoy some pictures from that day.

College Visits

On our way to and from Colorado, we visited some community colleges in west and north Texas (and one in Colorado)that have baseball teams. We got to meet with three coaches and Jared got a work out from two. While we didn't get to meet with the coach at Frank Phillips College, they get the award for "Best Welcome" to campus.

Lake City

We had a wonderful visit to Lake City this summer. We got to see a moose! We also went up on Round Top mountain in jeeps and on four-wheelers to roast hotdogs and look at the stars. It was truly beautiful. Abby and I got to see Gramma's paintings in the San Juan Reflections gallery. Grampa and Jared managed to squeeze in a bike ride around the Alpine Loop. Abby enjoyed all the photo opportunities. Even though we had to shorten our visit for this year, we had a wonderful time.

Cruisin'

Some highlights from our wonderful Mediterranean Cruise...
